Lenten Declutter Festival – join me?

I had great fun yesterday with my daughter, Suus, mixed the biggest bowl of pancake batter, using our favourite Delia Smith recipe.

It’s been a challenging year, with the increasing demands of a growing family and the loss of my beautiful mum, Pat.

As I was mixing the batter the overwhelm I have been feeling lately started to subside and an action plan began to take form.

This Lent instead of giving up chocolate or some other indulgence I would challenge myself to declutter, reset my own home.

Maybe you fancy joining me?

We all know that having someone to hold you to account will make your endeavour more successful – so I am asking us all to support each other to declutter this Lent.

This is my  challenge …Every day in Lent I will declutter at least one bag of stuff.  I will share with you how I tackle clutter in my own home

I find, as a professional declutterer and mum, we tend to get stuck, not because we don’t want to get rid of things … but because we wrap ourselves up in knots trying to get rid of our stuff responsibly and sustainably … .So it just sits there.

I am going to offer imaginative tips and suggestions on how to dispose of the resulting clutter.

So if you are coming along on this journey with me, go and get one of the many shopping bags we all have stuffed in a cupboard in the kitchen and let’s get ready – tomorrow we begin.,
